James W. Reed III, P.E. (Tres) is our principal in charge of the Electrical Department.  He also manages our IT department, keeping our computers and data management program on the cutting edge of technology.   

Prior to his years in Franklin, Tres was the President of West, Welch, Reed Engineering, Inc. located in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He has been the engineer-of-record in well over 2,400 projects ranging the entire scope of the construction industry.  From commercial to industrial to health care … if you name it, he is likely to have done it.

Tres received his engineering degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and is currently a registered engineer in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama.

Although skilled in all things electronic and computer related, Tres is a hands-on guy who enjoys woodworking and tinkering in his shop.
